Looking for a Lightspeed alternative priced in rupees?
Lightspeed is a good retail POS built for North America. GST, Tamil support, offline billing on a village connection and ₹ pricing are not what it was designed around. They are what Auromine was designed around.
What Lightspeed is good at
Lightspeed is a polished product with strong reporting and a mature hardware ecosystem. For a boutique in a metro billing in USD, it's a fair choice.

Where we don't win
Where we don't win
If all you need is a plain GST invoice and nothing else, cheaper software exists and we will tell you so on the phone. Auromine earns its price when the counter, the website and the customer messaging are one system — not when you only ever print a bill.
We also don't have a decade of accountant integrations, and we don't pretend to. If your CA insists on a specific accounting package, keep it — we export cleanly and stay out of the way.
The cheapest way to find out is free.
Pearl and the retail Free plan don't expire and don't ask for a card. Bill for a week on both and decide with your own hands.
Switching over
We migrate your items and customers for ₹2,999, or you can import them yourself from Excel. Most shops are billing on the same day.

Auromine vs Vyapar
Vyapar is good general billing software. It was not built for rate, weight, purity, making, wastage and old gold. That difference is the whole page.
→Auromine vs myBillBook
myBillBook bills well for a general store. Ask it for today's rate, a wastage percentage or an old gold exchange on the same bill and you're back to a calculator and a notebook.
→Auromine vs Marg
Marg is capable software with a dealer behind it. It also assumes a desktop, a setup visit and an AMC. If you want to be billing this afternoon from the phone already on your counter, that is a different product.
